  • Habitat for Humanity

    January 7th , 2017

We joined forces with Habitat for Humanity to help the remodeling of an Oak Park home. We sanded, painted, prepped, cleaned, and cut and hung drywall! Not bad for a day’s work.

The home owner, a wonderful lady and mother of two, Cindy, worked alongside us continuously expressing gratitude and excitement. We could feel the excitement too. It’s a beautiful home, complete with a backyard, for the three of them to create new adventures together.

The opportunity to serve this program and this family was so welcomed. Not only did we have the ladies from the office join in but close friends as well.

Volunteering with Habitat couldn’t be any easier. Just go to www.habitatoakland.org/volunteer/ to find out how.

Sixteen women working in the construction industry founded the organization in 1953. Today, NAWIC provides its members with opportunities for professional development, education, networking, leadership training, public service and more.
